About the magazine:

FO A RM (pronounced "form") is a new biannual magazine based out of Portland and New York that is dedicated to resonances among diverse mediums. The first issue presents writings surrounding the subject of "utility" from a range of approaches including anthropology, experimental poetry, sound theory, and cultural reportage, as well as several cross-genre works. Included in the first issue are pieces by Robert Kelly, sound artist Giancarlo Toniutti, a collection of essays by Shanghai high-school students on their newly learned english vocabulary word "utility," and a series of engineering drawings by 9-year-old Raymond Kennedy. Several Portland-based contributors will give readings and performances at this event, including: ALICIA COHEN; ASHLEY EDWARDS and MORGAN CURRIE; JOSEPH BRADSHAW; and mARK oWEns.
